Thriving in 2010 and Beyond: Defining Our Roles,  Exploring Control, Designing the Whole is a national conference, hosted by the Canadian Mental Health Association, which will bring together persons who have lived experience with mental illness, family members and friends, service providers and front line care workers, academics and researchers, and policy makers from across the country. We will be closely examining the concept of "Thriving" – what makes a consumer/survivor become a thriver and how can those successes be replicated within and outside the mental health care system (MHS).

The heart of the program will be an open examination of the Roles and Responsibilities of all system participants, the Control and Influence they exert, and the Key Elements of Design for the mental health system from their perspective.

Our objective is to create an open, collaborative, and creative opportunity for all people with an interest and involvement in improving the Canadian mental health system to get involved and have a say. We want you to join us in that process.
